In honor of their second birthday we made a slideshow of the twins from birth to now just for us and all of you to see how much they've grown and changed already. I hope you guys have sound on your computer because the song says it all...as much as I don't want to believe it, we're 'gonna miss this' someday. The last verse... 'one kid's crying, one kid's screaming'...was written just for our crazy life. Enjoy, love and miss you all.

What a slacker I've been...
......but I assure you, the only slacking I've done has been on this blog...well okay, a little house work too. I have been REALLY busy with school, test after test after test, and when that isn't enough, they throw in a few more tests that cost a lot more points....like midterms, but we made it threw. I cannot believe it's been over a month since I've posted, where did the time go? Grandma and Grandpa Tucker (who have officially been promoted to Nona and Papa) came to visit for a couple of weeks in February and I believe that's where I got a little off track. Life always seems so lifeless when they're here and Chris is so thankful to have someone to cook him dinner (thanks Nona). Evey and Colby got to go on long walks with Papa which they love so much...especially Evey, she may not be able to hold a conversation or read a book, but she is clever enough to know that she has all six foot something of Papa wrapped around her one inch nothing finger. In almost a week they will be TWO!!! We can't believe it, we're happy and sad all at the same time, I know the days of wishing they were little again will be here so fast we won't know what to do, *sniffle*. Colby and Evey have both been sick this past week so doctor visits are in our very near future (like tomorrow) and I'm afraid tubes in the ear may be in Colby's very near future (eek!). On a good note, the weather has been BEAUTIFUL and we can't get enough of it. I have tons a photo's to post, that's the one thing I have been keeping up with (taking them, not posting them obviously). So the babes are down for a nap, Chris is in the garage and it's back to the books for me....take care everyone, love and miss you.

Our "Winter Storm"
Colby on the "sled".
Unfortunately this is the best picture I got of Evey that day.
Our drive up.
Well, the world came to a halt last Saturday morning when people in the South woke up to find snow on the ground, but not in the Tucker house. By 2pm we had the kids loaded in the car and were traveling over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house. It took a little longer than usual due to the "idiots" (Chris' word, not mine) on the road hitting a maximum speed of 20 MPH, there were times those "idiots" would get a little wild and raise the speed to 23 MPH, but for the most part they played it safe. Not to worry, Chris and his Northern roots blasted his way through the snow/ice "testing" the brakes and traction control multiple times along the way with giggles and "whoas" coming from Evey and Colby, they are their fathers children after all. We were able to get them out to play on Sunday and the kids had a blast on the skim board/snow sled, that's what happens when it snows at the beach. The weekend went pretty well without any major melt downs from myself or the kids. Dare I say, but Colby seems to be a little happier this week so hopefully the antibiotics did the trick and he won't need to get tubes in his ears...I hope I don't pay for this later. Evey picked up a few new words like "shoes" and "where it go?" Today is Friday and the week is officially over for us, and what a week it has been. Tomorrow is my first day of work in two years so say a prayer...not for me, but for the patients I will be caring for. So that's it for this week, be safe, love you all.

Let's get this thing started
Well, here we are...Chris, Tasha, Evey and Colby (Jackson and Tootsie too)...and welcome to our crazy life. With the twins growing by the nanoseconds and no one around to see, I figured, what the heck...why not start a blog to share every bit of our crazy life with all of you. Our crazy life is just that, crazy. Life at this moment is an up hill battle and we're looking for flat land to come around the next corner. Chris works morning, noon, and well into the night, but have no sympathy folks, the man loves it. In fact, I'm quite sure he's addicted to working...that, or he just REALLY doesn't like me. The new school semester for myself has come with it's own new challenges. The New Year brought Mommy (me) a new job that was too good to pass up. I took a nursing assistant course over the summer (thanks Lori) and I'm finally putting that certification to use...every other weekend. Colby is now on his fourth antibiotic to try and get rid of an on going ear infection. Poor little guy, I must say though, he's been a trooper...he's usually the sensitive one. However, he was not a huge fan of the two day shots he had to endure, but a truck sticker, a smoothie, and magic Mommy medicine kiss made everything all better. Mission accomplished with Evey...pigtails!!! Woo-hoo!! That's right folks, my bald little baby now has JUST enough hair for me to put into pigtails...I call them spuds, cause they're so tiny. She spends most of her day dictating Colby, gladly tattling on him by screaching, "No, no, no!" She also has quite the vocabulary that she keeps to herself. Days will go by and she'll say nothing (other than no, of course) then she'll pop out with something like, "See ya later" to her potty as it goes down the toilet. It's safe to say that those two drive me nuts most of the time, but all of the fighting, screaming, and crying is easily forgotten with one little smile that lasts for seconds...then it's right back to screaming and fighting. Well, the goal for this blog is to post updates and photos at least every week. My hope is that I will start to take more photos of the kids since I've been slacking on that lately. I'm also hoping that at the end of the day, when the kids are in bed and the homework is done, that writing this blog will help me focus on the positive things in my day. Sometimes it gets so crazy here, 5:30 pm comes and the kids are screaming, Chris and I pass each other in the door way...he's comes home from work in just enough time for me to run out of the door to get to class just in time...the babes are in bed by the time I'm home, then it's homework and studying for me and work in the garage for Chris. Life is speeding by and I'm trying to slow it down. Well, I hope you all enjoy the start of this thing and will continue to drop in and watch our crazy life unfold. Love you all.
